Curriculum vitae
Dr. Endre Brydl graduated from the Budapest University of Veterinary Science in 1967. The qualification his diploma is „summa cum laude”. He got postgraduate diploma in cattle health with the qualification of „summa cum laude” in 1973.
He worked as a practitioner in the Western part of Hungary between 1967 and 1981.
Between 1981 and 1985 he worked as the chief veterinarian and deputy director at the Cattle Breeding Company of Kaposvár belonging to the Faculty of Animal Science Kaposvár University.
He has been working at the University of Veterinary Science since May 16 1985.
He was in position of senior scientist and deputy head of the Department of Animal Hygiene, Herd Health and Veterinary Ethology and he has been had of the department since 2004. He has been professor since 2007.
He took part in the veterinary education as invited speaker at the University of Veterinary Science between 1978 and 1985. Between 1981-1985 he worked at the Department of Animal Hygiene as visiting scientist.
He is responsible for the teaching of the subject of Cattle Herd Health for both Hungarian and English courses.
He is visiting teacher at the Department of Animal Nutrition and Department of Animal Hygiene of the Kaposvár University since 1990.
Between 1987 and 2011 he was tutor of diploma thesis of 211 graduating students at the Budapest University/Faculty of Veterinary Science.
He has been working in the research field of herd diagnosis and prevention of metabolic disorders caused by malnutrition in dairy cattle. In company with Dr. Sándor Gönye and Dr. Gábor Sályi he elaborated „Nutritional and Herd Health Evaluation System of Cattle Herds” in Hungary. An extra award was given for this work by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1987.
He finished his CSc in 1993 „Peripartal metabolic disorders and the possibility of their prevention in dairy cows” (1996. 16512.).
He was leader or co-worker in four OTKA projects and two K+F projects as well.
He is in cooperation with 80 dairy farms all over Hungary in order to reveal, eliminate and to prevent the metabolic disorders caused by malnutrition.
Between 1972-1975 he was a member of the Board for Postgraduate Education of the University of Veterinary Science.
Between 1977-1986 he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Hungarian Veterinary Journal.
Between 1977-1981 he was vice president of Vas county Organisation of the Hungarian Veterinary Association.
Between 1986-1987 he was a member of the Research Board of the University of Veterinary Science.
Between 1988-198 he was a member of the K+F Research Board and secretary of Animal Nutrition Board at the University of Veterinary Science.
He is the national representative of Hungary at the International Society for Animal Hygiene since 1991.
He is a member of the Presidential Board of the Hungarian Association for Buiatrics since 1994, and the secretary of the Hungarian Association for Buiatrics since 1997.
He is the president of the Hungarian Society for Animal Hygiene and Environmental Protection since 1998.
He was a member of the Presidential Board of the Hungarian Veterinary Association between 2001-2006.
He is in cooperation with scientist working at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Utrecht University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Brno University, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Kosice University.
