Lecture timing: 10 min. talk followed by 5 min. discussion. The duration of the lectures will be strictly 10 minutes followed by short discussion (maximum 5 minutes). We request all lecturers to comply with this regulation rigorously. Since the program is very tight, keeping the lectures and discussions within the given time frame will be pivotal. Chairpersons will strictly enforce the time limit. Presenting authors will be required to
visit the Lecture Hall computer board 25 minutes before the given session
to upload and test their presentations on the main computer. Optionally,
presentations can be uploaded in the morning before the first session,
from 7:30 am.
Laser pointer and PC with projector
will be available. Please prepare your presentations in Microsoft Power
Point or compatible format (we recommend NOT to use the latest, 2007
version, due to possible compatibility problems). You may bring your
presentation saved on a CD/DVD-ROM or on any USB compatible storage device
(like jump- or pen-drives). If you include movies in your presentation, be
sure to save the separate movie files on your device, as well
(occasionally large movie files are not embedded within the power point
file, and needs to be saved separately).
Poster dimensions: 90cm (width) x 120 cm (height) - in PORTRAIT format.
Please do not exceed the given
dimensions! Posters may be mounted on the morning of 24th July (latest by
8:30 am) and may not be removed until the end of Poster Session III. -
12:30 pm 26th July, 2008. We will provide appropriate mounting material
for poster presenters. Your exact poster session, poster number and
presentation time has already been announced on our website.
IMPORTANT! NEW ORGANIZATION OF POSTER-SESSIONS in the EAVA-Congress 2008 Budapest
The congress will have three poster
sessions: I-III. on Thursday 24, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July. The
posters are classified by theme groups. The poster sessions I and II will
be "ATTENDED" alternatively half/half in the theme groups (A/B) and time
between Thursday and Friday. Poster presenting authors, when attending
their poster, have to present it by a 3 minutes oral abstract and to
discuss it with the chairperson who is in charge of the Theme Group in
which this poster is classified. Since the program is very tight, I have
to emphasize, again, that keeping the short presentations and discussions
within the 3 minutes time frame will be important. Chairpersons will
strictly enforce the time limit.
Authors are also encouraged to be
prepared to discuss their posters during coffee and lunch breaks!
By submitting an abstract, the authors certify that their work complies with the ethical guidelines for human and animal research. Abstract withdrawal. In writing only, by e-mail or fax to the Organizing Committee. State your last name, first name, Title of abstract. Withdrawal of an abstract without cancelling registration does not entail refund of the registration fee.
